Chelsea Offloads Joao Felix to Al-Nassr in £43.7M Deal Amid Massive Squad Clear-Out
Joao Felix has officially left Chelsea as the London club seals a £43.7 million transfer deal with Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr.
Felix, who arrived at Chelsea from Atletico Madrid for £38.4 million, never quite found his form in England. His brief return to Italy on loan with AC Milan didn’t help his case either, as he struggled to make an impact.
The Portuguese star, who will now link up with Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, leaves Chelsea after making only 12 Premier League appearances last season, scoring just one goal. Benfica had tried to bring him back but couldn’t meet Chelsea’s asking price.
His sale is a financial relief for Chelsea, especially as the club works to meet UEFA’s financial rules after spending £169 million already on new players this summer.
And the clear-out is far from over.
