Six Nigerian Law School students kidnapped on their way to Yola campus, ₦20 million ransom demanded
Six students of the Nigerian Law School have been kidnapped by suspected armed bandits while travelling to the school’s Yola campus in Adamawa State.
The attack happened late at night on Saturday, July 26, 2025, along a dangerous road between Wukari in Taraba State and part of Benue State. One of the students from the Yola campus, who gave his name as Johnson, said the kidnappers have already reached out to the victims’ families. According to him, they are asking for ₦20 million ransom to release the students.
The victims were on their way back to school after finishing their court externship. School is set to resume on Monday, July 28.
The kidnapped students have been identified as:
- Rev. Ernest Okafor
- Ogbuka Fabian
- Nwamma Philip
- Okechukwu Obadiegwu
- Obalem Emmanuel
- Obiorah David
They were reportedly travelling in a vehicle belonging to AJ Dan Pullo Transport Company, a commercial transport business based in Onitsha, Anambra State. So far, the government or school authorities have not released any official statement.
The Wukari-Benue road where this happened is known for regular kidnappings and violence. Many travelers have been attacked there before.
