Bitwise Predicts Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Chainlink Could Spark the Next Trillion-Dollar Crypto Boom
Bitwise Asset Management has spotlighted four major cryptocurrencies – Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP, and Chainlink (LINK) as top contenders in the next trillion-dollar wave of crypto growth, driven by the emerging trend of asset tokenization.
In a recent client note, Bitwise’s Chief Investment Officer, Matt Hougan, and Head of Research, Ryan Rasmussen, said that on-chain financial products like tokenized stocks, bonds, and real-world assets (RWAs) are no longer distant ideas they are quickly becoming a reality.
The analysts noted that tokenization, once seen as a long-term concept, is now gaining real traction. They pointed to clear signs of infrastructure development and institutional involvement that suggest adoption could accelerate faster than previously expected.
“Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Chainlink offer some of the cleanest and most direct exposure to this growing trend,” the report said.
Bitwise Predicts and outlined the unique strengths of each network:
Ethereum (ETH) powers many tokenization platforms including Arbitrum.
Solana (SOL) has been adopted by crypto exchange Kraken for tokenization solutions.
XRP Ledger (XRP) is already in use for real-world asset programs.
Chainlink (LINK) acts as the critical bridge connecting off-chain data to blockchain smart contracts.
The report emphasized that spreading investment across these networks may be more effective than choosing a single winner.
Bitwise also referenced a key quote from BlackRock CEO Larry Fink’s 2024 shareholder letter, where he wrote: “Every asset can be tokenized.”
With global stock and bond markets valued at over $257 trillion, the potential market for tokenized assets is enormous. Even a small shift – between 1% and 5% into blockchain-based systems could lead to trillions of dollars flowing through the crypto space.
Bitwise concluded that the tokenization narrative may already be setting the stage for the next major cycle in crypto, making these four tokens especially worthy of attention from forward-looking investors.
