What Is Blood Pressure, And Why Should You Care?

This article is going to help you know all about blood pressure, so read till the very end

Blood pressure is just the pressure that blood uses to move inside your body. You see, every
time your heart beats, it pushes blood into your blood vessels.

These vessels are like pipes that carry blood to all parts of your body. If you have ever used a water hose to send water from one place to another, then you already have an idea. That water inside the hose needs enough push so it can reach all corners, right? That is exactly how blood works.

If the pressure of that blood is too much or high, the vessels can damage, burst or get weak. If it’s too low, the blood won’t go round well, and your body will not get the accurate oxygen and nutrients to reach vital parts that it needs. So blood pressure must be balanced, not too high, not too low. That is the only way your body can stay healthy.
Let us be honest. Many of us live the kind of life that gives blood pressure a free ride. We get home late from Lagos traffic, eat heavy food at night, deal with family stress, and barely sleep well. No rest, no balance. Some people say it is a spiritual attack whenever the case leads to a sudden death, but most times, it is a lifestyle that is attacking us. Blood pressure is also hereditary, that is, If your parents had high blood pressure, you might also get it. That one is not your fault, it’s in the blood.
